Why Wallow
For as long as humans and animals have shared the outdoors with biting insects, we’ve relied on a simple solution: cover the skin. Mud and clay created a natural, effective barrier.
Modern man replaced that instinct with chemical pesticides—applied directly to the skin and inevitably absorbed into the body.
Wallow takes a more refined approach.
We use IR3535®, a gentle, amino acid–derived active inspired by a compound found in the Asian cucumber tree. It’s widely considered safe—even for babies as young as two months.
Rather than killing insects, it disrupts their ability to detect carbon dioxide and disorients them, making you much harder to find.
The result is protection regarded as safer and more environmentally conscious than traditional options like DEET.
What sets Wallow apart though is how it’s delivered.
Our slow-release system uses natural mushroom and algae extracts to form microscopic capsules that sit on the skin’s surface, keeping the active ingredient where it belongs.
As these capsules break down, they release protection gradually—lasting longer, applying more evenly, and requiring fewer reapplications.
Apply Wallow before sunrise, and it continues working well after sunset.
Like those before us, Wallow creates a barrier between you and the elements—only now it’s precise, modern, and hypoallergenic.
We’re launching Wallow at the end in July, and wanted you to try it while you’re here at Ramsden Lake.
Wander. Wilder. Wallow.
